Each year during my birthday month, I treat myself to one whole outfit, which usually turns into me buying a few outfits. 🙂 But, hey, at least I was successful in my no shop august, right?! Every September I literally search high and low for the perfect outfit, and that entails visiting some of my favorite stores including, Vintage Martini, Zara, and if I’m in Houston, I always stop by Chloe Dao’s store, Dao Chloe Dao, to take a look at her chic, one-of-a-kind dresses. Originally, this year I had envisioned a vest pant “birthday” suit with a large bold print, and even though I looked high and low for one, I never found the perfect pant suit. BUT, after searching for a winning outfit for weeks, on my last stop, I came across a colorful romper by Free People, and lord knows I love a good romper! Besides the fact that it was cute, colorful, and comfortable, the best part was that it was on sale for only $70! I paired it with a cute pair of satin Zara heels for only $60, by the way, ankle booties are SO on trend right now and everyone should have at least one pair for fall! You could also pair this romper with thigh high boots such as these sexy Jefferey Campbell black boots for only $189. For my handbag, I wore a gold vintage clutch, that I already had in my closet and purchased from Dolly Python in Dallas. You can find an almost identical clutch by Lauren Merkin for only $75. Another awesome part about my outfit was that it was all $150! Usually, one dress costs me $150, so I was so thrilled that I didn’t go overboard with spending a ton of money on my birthday outfit!

After getting all dolled up in my new outfit, I was ready for a night out on the town with my girls! My birthday celebration was absolutely everything that I wanted it to be and more! I am seriously so lucky that I have such a wonderful group of girl friends here in Dallas. Our first stop for the night, was one of my favorite restaurants, Victor Tangos. They have wonderful drinks, great food, and a vibrant atmosphere, all perfect for a birthday dinner. After we were all stuffed with tuna nachos and pepper smashes, we went to the Candleroom and Mr. Rich for some dancing! All I can say is that by 2:30AM, all of our feet needed a good massage!
Operation get a cute outfit, eat good food, and dance with great friends for my 33rd birthday, was a true success! Thanks to everyone who made it so special!
